Thanks for the info. PK, I recall two instances over the years where teachers spoke of Steiners previous lives. One was in teacher training while studying the book Parzifal, and the other a private discussion with 3-4 other individuals in the faculty room. So its not like this is general conversational material for anthroposophists.

Which is why I ask who is it that came to these conclusions about Steiner in the first place. These revelations no doubt surfaced after Steiners death, and could be traced back to original members of the movement. Pretty commonplace stuff when speaking of spiritual / religious leaders and their followers. No doubt Buddha and Jesus were simply regular guys like Steiner, and look what some people today say about them.

There was some discussion recently about how Steiner himself may have made these known in private conversations. This may answer why they were brought out later.

I wondered about that as well: told his circle of twelve one evening over some wine and bread. That I can possibly see.

Are you aware there have been two or three individuals in the movement over the past eighty years who have been tagged as to put it in its simplest terms the new anthropop Dali Lamas? You know: 20th century torch bearers of the anthropop/Sophia impulse etc. Who are those people? Maybe the answers in there somewhere.

I believe youre correct there. I once heard the third or individual for the 21st century was to be a woman. But maybe the info got mixed up, and its Steiner who is coming back as a female. Confusing I know.

I do know the fellows real name; it just escapes me right now. And he is/was a recognized anthropop.

Yes, they're expecting Steiner as a girl Waldorf student this time around.

Isnt expecting Steiner to soon incarnate as a female, somewhat the same as waiting for Jesus to return? Isnt believing that Steiner is the reincarnation of Enkidu AND Aristotle AND Thomas Aquinas, similar to any number of spiritual/religious groups believing their particular leader to be Christ or whoever?

With me, Im nowhere near as puzzled by claims such as these, as I am by the behavior and beliefs of people who long to pass themselves off as enlightened, and their movement as legitimate.

Thats hardly surprising PK. I mean cmon: the posters on that site are more than a little fanatical/kooky. Anyone with anything negative to say regarding Steiner etc should know exactly what sort of response theyre going to get.

I signed up for that list some time ago, but have never posted there. Whats the point?

Very accurate breakdown and description, PK. But then, you and I know all about the religious right people, the dont actually understand it people, and the many off the deep enders in the movement.

I will say though that all of that is not anthroposophy at least, not the spirit of anthroposophy as understood and practiced by the many mentally-healthy and decent people in the movement. And there are many of those people as well, as we both know
